  • When will I fly?

    After your paperwork is complete you will receive approximately 10 minutes of ground training and begin your introduction to Paragliding. Meanwhile, our office staff will organize your flight number, you may be on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd flight, plan on hanging out for approximately 2 hours. We encourage your family and friends to come out and watch your flight. Please keep close watch on your children and keep all pets on leashes because there is a running aircraft nearby.

  • How long is the flight?

    The average flight is 15-20 minutes

  • How high will we fly?

    Our tandem flights are from 550 feet to 2,000 feet depending on weather and time of year. The VIP winery flight is from 3,500ft!

  • What does it feel like?

    It’s unlike anything in this world. It is commonly described by first time flyers as absolutely incredible, surreal, exhilarating, and like nothing they ever could have expected!

  • What should I wear?

    You should dress in comfortable, weather appropriate clothing, bring layers, and wear lace-up shoes. No hiking boots, heels, flip flops, or sandals permitted.

  • What should I do when I arrive?

    Check in at the front desk, located in our hangar at Lake Chelan Airport, so you may complete paperwork, pay for your flight, and begin ground training with one of our instructors before your leave to the launch site. The VIP winery flight meets at Tsillan Cellars winery.

  • Is there a weight limit?

    The weight limit is 220 lbs.  IF YOU ARE OVER 220 lbs, we may be able to make special arrangements please call us at 509-881-0687, and there is an additional charge of $20.

  • Is there an age limit?

    We have an age limit of 12 and you must be over 80lbs. If you are over the age of 65 you must provide a current doctors note stating you are in good physical health to paraglide. Everyone must provide a government-issued photo identification in order to participate in parachuting activities. If you are under 18 a parent must sign the release of liability waiver.

  • Do I need to put down a deposit?

    There is a $70 non-refundable deposit per person to secure your tandem reservation. This deposit is applied towards the total cost of your flight. Any changes made within 48 hours of your scheduled flight will result in the forfeit of your non-refundable deposit(s) in the form of a no-show fee.

  • What if the weather is not suitable for flying at the time of my scheduled flight?

    If you show up and weather or other conditions do not permit flying on the date and time you have selected, you may reschedule your reservation for a later date and time within one year without losing your non-refundable deposit.

    Please call us the day of your scheduled flight to verify that conditions allow paraglide operations that day. Our staff will make the weather judgments and let you know if re-scheduling is necessary.

  • Where do you fly?

    Paraglide Chelan is located in Chelan, Washington at the Chelan Municipal Airport. We fly over Lake Chelan and the Columbia River at two different flight locations depending on wind direction. Paraglide Chelan offers some of the best views in the state of Washington!

  • How close is Paraglide Chelan to Wenatchee, WA?

    Paraglide Chelan is 35 minutes North of Wenatchee.

  • How close is Paraglide Chelan to Spokane?

    We are located 2hrs and 30 minutes west of Spokane.

  • How close is Paraglide Chelan to Seattle?

    Paraglide Chelan is a 3 hour drive from Seattle.

  • How close is Paraglide Chelan to Yakima?

    Paraglide Chelan is 2 hrs and 30 minutes from Yakima.
